EXCERPT
Once at the mall, Van picked up some last minute gifts for Nikki. After trying on a few dresses,
she found a knee-length, strapless coral dress. She purchased it and was off in search of a pair
of shoes. When she found the perfect pair of coral and silver heels, Van concluded the trip to the
mall a complete success.

Her cellphone rang as she was leaving the shoe store. She dug around in her bag to find it. With

her head down and her steps brisk, she ran right into someone.

"I'm so sorry. I'm such a klutz," she said as she looked up into the brown eyes of her first love.

She gasped and took a step back, surveying him. His light brown hair was a little shorter and
he was built like a man now, not the boy she used to know. She stood frozen in place, staring
at him. This can't be happening. A tidal wave of emotions rushed through her at once. Anger,
resentment, hatred, but mainly pain…so much pain.

"Van."

"Lance? Oh my God!" She took another step back. "How?"

"I-I talked to Nikki. She told me you would be here. I needed to see you. When I heard what

happened…" He paused. "I knew I couldn't stay away any longer. I'm so sorry."

The more he talked, the more Van's anger flared. Who does he think he is? He left me! Turned

his back on me when he cut all ties!

"What exactly are you sorry for, Lance? That my husband died or that you broke my heart all

those years ago?" The words she spoke were full of acid. "You have a lot of nerve just showing
up here like nothing ever happened. Go away." She turned to leave.

"Please, Van, just talk to me. Give me a chance to explain," he begged as he reached for her

hand.

"Don't you dare touch me," she said through gritted teeth, yanking her hand away. "What do you

want from me?" She stared at him while plotting all the ways she was going to torture Nikki for
her betrayal.

She seethed as he looked around. "Calm down, Van. People are starting to stare. Please, can we

go somewhere more private and talk? There is so much I need to tell you."

"What could you possibly have to say to me that would make up for what you did? I mean, I

know you had to move, but you cut all ties with me. Like the three years we spent together meant
nothing to you, like I meant nothing to you. Damn you, Lance, you didn't even try to make it
work."

"Please, Savannah. Give me a chance to explain."

"Give me one reason why I should."

"Because I still love you. I. Never. Stopped. I cut all ties with you because I had to. Long

distance relationships never work out. I was afraid you would wake up one day and resent me.
Being apart from you was killing me. I thought this way we would both be able to move on. But
I was wrong, I never was able to move on. I let the love I have for you consume me. I wanted to
come back sooner, but then I heard you'd gotten married. When I found out what had happened, I
wanted to rush here and be by your side, but I figured you would need some time."

His words shocked and confused her. After she took a few moments to process everything,

she shook her head. "I can't do this." She turned and walked away, then stopped. "Go back to
wherever it was you came from and leave me alone."

"Just go away, Lance. You're good at that," she snarled before she walked away. She didn't dare

turn around because looking at him as he begged her to give him a chance to explain would
certainly weaken her. Van needed to focus on how she was going to kill her so-called best friend.

Noemi Betancourt has been a lifelong fan of Fantasy, ever since her father introduced her to the works of Tolkien, Baum, and C.S. Lewis as a child. An avid reader, she has since developed her writing style over the years, and after becoming enamored with the Romance genre, Noemi began to blend a guilty pleasure with an old love. Her first novelette, Heroes and Hearts, is the first of many books and stories in which she interlaces the Fantasy and Romance genres.

Noemi lives in a seaside bungalow on Florida’s Sun Coast, indulging in her other passions: cooking, caring for her gallant husband (a disabled vet from the British Isles), and the three fur-babies who rescued them.

Sara "Furlong" Burr was born on February 1, 1982, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. At an early age, when it became apparent she wouldn't have the luxury of skating through life on her looks or athletic prowess, Sara found her true passion in writing. While in fifth grade, she wrote her first "novel"(whose name escapes her at the moment) about five friends who win a trip to Hawaii. At ninety-something pages, it was her crowning achievement during her childhood (you may now begin drawing your own conclusions on how sad a childhood Sara actually had).

After focusing much of her adult life on her family and career as a paralegal, Sara found the voices in her head becoming unrelenting and she returned to her true passion. Currently, she's working on the sequel to Enigma Black entitled Vendetta Nation. She's also tossing around ideas for a chick-lit book about two ill-fated lovers (Lord, help her).

When she's not writing, Sara enjoys reading (pretty much a given), attempting to garden, shopping (prerequisite to being a woman), and spending time with her family and friends who somehow manage to tolerate her numerous disappearances propagated by infrequent bouts of inspiration.

Review Wrap Up: Princess Miri by Cerys du Lys

Erotica/Erotic Romance (Medieval Fantasy-ish)
Date Published: 3/10/13

Princess Miri is a bitch and the heir to the throne and she might have accidentally fallen in love with  a monster.
It's common knowledge that everyone hates Miri, which is why it surprises her when her rival gives her a  pet troll servant for her eighteenth birthday. Thump, as Miri names the husky monster, will do everything  she asks. Or that's what she thinks.
When her demands lead to experimentation and sexual teasing, Miri realizes this isn't quite the case. One  disobeyed order ends with a bang, literally, and her and Thump in an unclothed, carnal mess atop her nowbroken bed.  A troll coupling with a human? Disgusting!  She should be furious! Irate! And maybe she is, but she's curious, too...
She never thought she could open up to anyone before, always believed she needed to act harsh and stern in  order to ascend to the throne. Unfortunately for Miri, while she discreetly explores her taboo sexuality with  Thump, someone's plotting to exploit her shameful secret and ruin the Princess's reputation...  Alluring, erotic, and playful. This provocative story of a Princess and her troll will delight you, entice you,  and keep you excited long after you're done.
This book is intended for mature audiences

AN IMAGINATIVE AND UNIQUE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST TYPE EROTIC NOVEL. DEFINITELY WAY MORE KINKY WITH PLENTY OF HOT SEX AND A INNER TRANSFORMATION ON THE PRINCESS'S PART.

This Book has averaged a 4.3* Rating from reviewers during this tour.
Current Amazon Rating of 3.8*'s.

WOW....Cerys pens "Princess Miri" in a plot that was STEAMING HOT!  I found the plot to run something like 'The Beauty and the Beast' but in an well written, extremely kinky plot. The characters descriptions were well done and well rounded. Just a bit to hot for me, but with plenty of sex scenes, this book will keep you turning the pages.

I give "Princess Miri" a 4 star rating.

Cerys has charted on numerous best sellers and hot new release lists internationally with multiple books.
She lives in the Greater Boston area in a small town in New Hampshire. She spends her days writing, reading, learning, and working. And maybe sometimes she flirts with the mailman. Some of her most favorite activities involve understanding and learning about emotions and relationships.
She adores pondering sexuality and sensualness. Most of her writing delves into this in some way, exploring reactions and relationships between different people. While she enjoys writing erotica and erotic romance, her goal is to also keep a certain literary appeal to the writing instead of something purely pornographic. Every story she writes has a delightful plot along with the more devious and delicious scenes we all want to read.
She prefers romance settings, with the occasional monster or fairytale. Her secret kinks include reluctance, interesting paranormal creatures, romance(even with monsters), and fun. She loves writing about all of these things, though very strongly acknowledges that fantasies are fiction and nothing more.

Mandy pens "Security" in an original plot filled with suspense, action, and romance with a touch of humor thrown in. I found her characters to be well developed, believable with good chemistry as she describes them with her beautiful writing. One of the better romantic suspense novels I've read this year and highly recommended to all adult readers who love a nice romance.

I give "Security" a 5 star rating.

Security is an intriguing romantic suspense story filled with enough drama, action and romance with a touch of humor that keeps the reader turning the pages. Author Mandy Baggot weaves an entertaining tale written in the third person narrative that follows the suspenseful adventures of Autumn Raine and Nathan Regan as they try to outwit the kidnapping plots as they fight to survive.

This fast paced story has enough suspense and intensity with unexpected twists and turns that keeps the reader engaged, while the sizzling chemistry and romance that develops between Autumn and Nathan will make your heart race. I loved that both Autumn and Nathan were realistic characters who had flaws and past demons that haunted them, I found them to be intriguing and really enjoyed the opposites attract scenario. I really enjoyed the multi-layered storyline, you can't help but become captivated and immersed in the intricacies of Autumn and Nathan's lives. Author Mandy Baggot provides the reader with an entertaining storyline that has it all: action, drama, intrigue, suspense, betrayal, comedy, heartbreak and romance ... what more could a reader ask for?!

With an interesting cast of characters who are realistic and flawed; witty dialogue and engaging interactions; and an intriguing storyline that keeps you on the edge until the surprising conclusion; Security is an exciting romantic suspense story that will leave you completely satisfied.
